Author Technologies
Author carbon frames
The frame is made applying the monocoque technology, which is the connection of the front triangle with the chain and seat stays. This secures a more robust, stiffer, and the safest possible connection. In the frame, only the basins for the head set, bottom bracket threaded insert, and drop outs are of duralumin. This technology is used for the road models, CA9900, CA8800, CA7700, CA6600 and CA5500 as well as for the MTB models INTROVERT, MASTER and REVOLT.

The concave deflection of the seat stay increases its ability to absorb minor shocks due to road roughness. Due to this property the wheels remain permanently in contact with the surface, maintain the direction better, the ride is safer, more considerate, and more comfortable for the rider. It is used on the A 3300 and A 4400 models.

29" bikes
The difference between the 26”and 29” wheel diameters does not rest only in the size, but most importantly in their different driving qualities. Both of these wheels can be compared from already a few aspects. The most critical ones, which directly affect the driving qualities, can be summarized in the following basic areas:
1. driving stability
2. Wheel terrain mobility
3. Required energy
4. Rolling resistence
5. Site of the contact area between the tire and terain
Author Iron Age
Also in 2009, AUTHOR offers a freestyle MTB model EXE and the EXE24. Both models became, thanks to great street geometry, low weight and price, the best on market. The fame of these two models has required a launch of one more model EXE AM, which replace model A-Gang AM, for Author Iron Age series.
Above all, MTB freestyle is influenced by trends in BMX freestyle, where frames made of quality steel are common to endure the extreme tensions. Compared to aluminium alloys, steel (Author uses Cr-Mo 4130) is more appropriate as material for the MTB freestyle category.
Author FSX
In this full suspension model, the rear wheel suspension is designed as a single pivot system. The rear stay fork is triangular in shape, and connected to the base frame by means of one pivot located near the BB.
The rear wheel suspension consists of a mechanism relatively more complex than in the A-RAY. This is a four pivot system, generally composed of four arms, chain stay, seat stay, and linkage, and four pivots. The rear shock is located between the frame and the linkage. The rear wheel, then, is connected via a rotational link to the seat stay.
Similarly to the ERA models, the rear wheel suspension in the ARH models consists of a four pivot system. Identical regularities therefore apply in terms of the rear stay travel when springing. The suspension mechanism is composed of chain stay, seat stay, and llinkage. The chain stay and the linkage are connected to the base frame via a rotational link, performing a rotary movement around the points of contact (rear shock is located between the linkage and the base frame).

Author Enduro
Hydroformed biaxial D/T with an intentional bending front of the H/T (increased clearance of the fork under the D/T while maintaining the neat connection of D/T and H/T)
Optimal T/T shape (changes from round profile to rectangular towards the H/T)
New shape of H/T with increased outer diameter of H/T enabling tougher welds between H/T, T/T, and D/T.
